You're here because you've been recruited to create a video of yourself building a custom stick with our new builder

First, take a moment to watch a few different complete videos so you understand what we are looking for:

Please find a space that is well lit with a plain-ish (free from distraction) or hockey vibe (locker room, sticks, etc.) background.

A webcam or built in laptop cam would probably be easiest so you can run through the builder on your phone while you record. Maybe use some headphones as a mic if you don’t have one.

You DO NOT need to record your screen. We will do that during the editing process.

First, start by recording the introduction in a fashion similar to below:

“Hey guys I’m XXXXX. I play/coach for/with/at XXXX and today I’m going to be building my Custom Shift Hockey Stick.

Try it a few times within the same recording. This is only time we will put you on full screen is at the beginning so if you're going to focus on a line, this is it. Add a little excitement and smile here if you can!

Once you have a few intro options, start another recording for the building process. Start by selecting your design on the home page ("First, I'm going to pick the Select design"). Feel free to skip over the instructions and go right to step one.

As you move through the builder, try to announce which step your on. "Now we need to choose our curve" or "Next we have kick point". This keeps things flowing nicely.

From there, it's all about narrating the choices you are making. For example, if you have a good reason for choosing a particular kick point, great! Let us know why.

If you have no idea what kick point means, that's also fine. Tell the audience that, read the instructions and make a decision. You can always just say "I have no idea what I've used or like but I'm going to randomly pick XXXX".

You do not need to do the whole build in one take. We will be doing plenty of editing no matter what. If you stumble or freeze, don't worry! Just start that step over again (do not stop the recording). Move on once you feel good about your commentary on that particular step. We'd rather have more options to choose from.

The walk throughs that perform best are the ones that have some character so feel free to crack some jokes or be a little self-deprecating.

Lastly, at the end of the builder you will see a few check boxes before the "add to cart" button pops up. You do not need any commentary on these. All you need to say to wrap up the video is "Lastly, a few acknowledgements...then we are going to add to cart".
